Located in Hadley, MA, Donna McGee’s functional ceramics feature charming and colorful representations of Pioneer Valley life. Her signature style includes the combination of clay, sgraffito, drawing and painting. The scenes on Donna's pottery pieces include farms and river land, porches and flowerpots...each beautifully reminiscent of country life in rural Massachusetts. With red earthenware, she uses a slab roller to create tiles and platters and the potter’s wheel for pots and bowls.
Each piece of Donna McGee pottery is handmade, one-of-a-kind, food safe, dishwasher & microwave safe.
According to Donna, “My interest lies in the pursuit of creativity through drawing on wet clay, and in the integration of form with this decoration. Through the extemporaneous execution of line drawings and watercolor-like painting, I concentrate on keeping my work fresh and through that concentration, creative ideas flowing.”
