Maruca Design began in Boulder, Colorado in 1991. Since then owner Rex Maruca has developed a following of cool and conscientious women who seek functional yet stylish handmade bags and wallets made from prints with lots of personality. Maruca’s colorful and unique textiles are designed, milled and stitched together into their loveable bags in the US.
Embracing the principles of the Arts & Crafts movement of the early 1900’s, Maruca says, “We believe that creating a small production runs of a given craft or product within a cottage industry setting creates a consciousness that humanizes our work, enhances the welfare of others and enriches the world.” The Maruca Design collection includes handbags, purses, coin pouches and clutches in a variety of sizes, shapes and fabrics.
