Florence-based artisan Emily Rosenfeld began making her own Jewelry and Judaica collection in 1991. Rosenfeld says, “I make work with meaning. Whether personalized jewelry with your children’s names, lockets to hold the photo of someone dear or Judaica to help celebrate faith, I want my pieces to feel special and essential, like a modern talisman.”
Emily’s Judaica includes handcrafted pewter mezuzot as well as menorah and tiles which are mounted on spalted maple. Each piece of wood has its own unique texture and shape, infusing these traditional pieces with contemporary meaning and style. The universal motifs used include the Tree of Life, Noah’s Ark, hamsa, dove, and imagery of families and nature.
Perfect for a bar or bat mitzvah present, or a wedding, hostess, or housewarming gift, Rosenfeld says it best when she shares, “If you are picking out something for yourself or someone that you love, enjoy what you get, feel confident about you give, and remember to celebrate the little things with great love and joy.”
