TreeStump Woodcrafts

Wooden and turquoise utensils, cutting boards and bowls
Tumacacori, Arizona

Treestump founders Ron and Christine Sisco have been professional woodcraft artists for more than twelve years. They work in American hardwoods: mesquite, black walnut, cherry and bird’s eye maple. The eye-catching detail in their work is the inclusion of turquoise, which is inlaid into the natural cracks of the wood. The Siscos use turquoise from the Sleeping Beauty Mine in Globe, Arizona.

Christine and Ron Sisco make spreaders, spoons, rolling pins, salad servers, breadboards, bread knifes, turned wood bowls and furniture using this unique technique.

The turquoise inlay is strong, can be cut on, and will not dislodge over time. The pieces should be hand washed and dried, and mineral oil can be applied periodically to enhance the wood’s luster. Prices for the cutting boards range from $13 for a spreader to $132 for a full-size cutting board. Please contact pinch for pricing on a specific piece.
